A top I-T officil confirmed to TOI last week that the funds transferred to Dubai could be as much as Rs 1,450 crore and now there is evidence to support the claim. Between October 25 2007 and May freshwater pearl jewelry 14, 2008 alone, a little over six months, an amount of 20,67,92,161 dirhams or close to Rs 264 crore was transferred to Camtech's account in Dubai. I-T officials had earlier said that Mumbai-based hawala operator Arvind Vyas was used to transfer funds to Dubai. After May 14, 2008, there is another amount of 1,19,00,000 dirhams or over Rs 15 crore debited freshwater pearlon June 16, 2008.
What is even more stunning is that the first four installments debited to the Camtech account in Dubai are also mentioned in Sinha's personal documents which are said to be in his own handwriting.
In these papers, which were alearly meant for his personal record, there are four payments -- 143, 66, 40.75 and 660 -- mentioned against Camtech's name. These are exactly the same as the freshwater pearl set sums, in dirhams, debited to the Camtech account in Dubai. Documents confirming this are now in I-T department's possession. Sinha in his personal record also mentions the dates on which the four amounts were deposited and these too are exactly the same as the dates mentioned in the documents pearl necklace displaying the break up of the money deposited in the account. "This obviously lends credence to Sinha's personal records which contains names of senior political leaders,'' said an official

As investigating agencies have now confirmed, Blue Techno's arm in Thailand, based at Khet Wattana, bought land to develop a port and Camtech's account in Dubai was used to transfer freshwater pearl set huge amounts of money from India.
Blue Techno signed an MoU with a firm named Royal Tata Centre Export Import Ltd in Thailand for the development of a port on land which it bought at Ayutthaya for 28.8 million bahts. The MoU states that Royal Tata would help Blue Techno procure licences for businesses in Thailand and assist in identifying suppliers for arranging limestone from mines in Thailand. The firm also helped Blue Techno identify customers for coal which it imported from abroad. Sources said that apart from Dubai and Thailand, Blue Techno also had offices in Singapore, Mumbai, Indonesia, Nigeria and Azerbaijan.
An Indonesian businessman, A Rianto, is said to be the man who helped Koda and his aides purchase mines and freshwater pearl invest in South East Asia. Rianto is an account holder (number 0050402118) in the Milenia branch of Bank Central Asia in Indonesia. Close to a million dollars had been transferred to his account freshwater pearl and another account in a separate bank for the purpose. He is also the person who helped them purchase mines in Liberia for $17 million.
